The Issue:
Forest certification is a process thats results in a written certificate being issued by an independant third-party, attesting that a particular forest is managed on a sustainable basis and that any Timber from it has been produced in accordance with all the agreed forest management and enviromental standards.

 
Australian Forestry Standard (AFS)

  Forest Stewardship Council (FSC)
An international independent forest stewardship and certification scheme now active in Australia. MNCFF assisted in establishment of a group certification scheme for farm foresters in the Hunter and Mid-North Coast of NSW.
